The historic area of Five Points was established in the 1920s. A popular neighborhood area of the time, Five Points was characterized by the bungalow homes popular of that time. Today, Five Points is still a highly desired area to live in Raleigh.
The area gets its name from where Glenwood Avenue intersects Whitaker Mill Road and Fairview Road, however, Five Points generally refers to the neighborhoods surrounding this intersection. This well-established area has plenty of local amenities including parks, public transit, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.
Five Points is also close to NC State University, The NC Museum of Art, The NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Red Hat Amphitheater, Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, and I-40.
